Pulses in Blue

“Pulses in Blue” is a mixed media artwork installation created in 2023 . Showcased at the Luontoja 4 / Vyöhyke exhibition in September 2023 at the Mältinranta Art Center in Tampere, this painting installation piece integrates various materials using the unifying theme of blue.

This artwork revisits the artist’s signature themes of imaginary landscapes and the aesthetics derived from the interconnectedness of disparate objects. The blue hue of “Pulses in Blue” unites the differently executed parts of the work into a landscape-like whole. Movement and balance are broken in jagged shapes that are reconnected by color.
