Our House – Series of Paintings and Sculptures, 2022-

The series of paintings and sculptures presented here is a continuation of the previous Fachwerk Und and Und-Und work series. in these series of artworks, the ideas for the forms of the works were based on the forms and spatial divisions of traditional German fachwerk architecture, which the artist collected by drawing in his sketchbook during his residency in in the Oberlausitz region of eastern Germany.

Paintings and sculptures of Our House – series bear similarities to the previous series, while also showcasing an effort to progress towards new themes and methodologies. The interplay and fusion of structural and free-form expression imbue the pieces in this series with a sense of dramatic cohesion.

Techniques used in the works of the Our house series include painting with stones on a textured surface, tearing adhesive paper, plaster carving, oil pastels and color pencil art

From the flat textures of oil paint to the expressive strokes of soft pastels, a diverse array of art materials and mediums form the foundation of this series. Diverse elements, such as acrylic paint, watercolors, and oil pastel colors, enrich the artistic process, allowing for the exploration of innovative techniques and mixed-media approaches.
