Bio Review
The idea for the Bio Review – watercolor series came about when I got acquainted with the Terra Te Amo concept. Based on that, the idea for a series of organic-themed paintings and a color scheme consisting of natural tones developed. My artistic expression often moves between sprawling organicity and a more angular, simplified form language, this time it was the turn of a more organic expression.
Impressionism Checklist: Features & Painting Tips
I recently taught an art course on impressionist painting. After the course one of the students asked me if I could make an impressionism checklist for the students to use later and review what they had learned. I said I could make a two-part list to be published as a blog post, with one part listing the stylistic features of impressionism and the other part providing instructions for creating an impressionist painting.
Classroom Exercise for Teaching Spatial Perception
One of my favorite activities in the drawing classes I teach involves turning the classroom desks into a single long table. Along this table, I place identical objects—like books—at one-meter intervals. Half of the students work from one end of the table, while the other half work from the opposite end, drawing with charcoal on paper placed on their easels.

The Miiknyland 3D project is a long-term, gradually changing and developing virtual world. It is a combination of different artistic interests. Landscape, sculpture and the construction of environments are all present in this virtual installation. The presentation of the elements of the Miiknyland landscape varies, some parts are reductions, some are more detailed, but are nevertheless united by lighting.

Blue Pulses in Orange is a temporary environmental artwork that was exhibited in two different places in the Helsinki area on Thursday 17 October 2024. The work was built for a short time in an autumn environment in the Vermo and Lassila area. Combining the parts of the artwork and the environment created a whole where blue and orange in the view affected each other.
